Who are The Least of These?

Obviously, “The Least of These,” is referring to Matthew 25:45, but who are the Least of These? When Jesus was speaking He was describing the time when, “the Son of man shall come in his glory.” He spoke of separating the sheep from the goats. He then says: Matthew 25:45 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. When he is speaking of the Least of These, can he be speaking of the goats. Surely not since these are the ones who were to be sent off into eternal punishment. So who can the Least of these be unless they are those sheep who follow Him. Yes of course He is speaking of His disciples. Some would even say that He is referring to the lost sheep who are not following the Lord, and they may very well be correct. Nevertheless, isn’t the definition of a disciple one who adheres to the discipline of his master or teacher? We know that God, nor can He, bless those who are in disobedience or He would be dishonoring His Word. The Bible even teaches that those who are in open sin are not to be put out of the … Continued

Our Work

Here is the following quote Ellen White explains specifically what our work is to be: Testimonies 8 pg 9 par 1 What is our work? The same as that given to John the Baptist, of whom we read: “In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.” {Matthew 3:1-3}. It is very common these days that is a Christian tells someone they are sinning they will be met with the response that they are being judgmental, but this is not consistent with the word of God. The word of God and the Spirit of Prophesy tell us that we are to give a message of repentance to the world and the church as is demonstrated in the quote above. Testimonies For the Church vol 8 pg 10 par 2 note that this quote starts in the 4th sentence of paragraph 2 Every obstacle to the redemption of God’s people is to be removed by the opening of His word and the presentation of a plain “Thus saith the Lord.” The true light … Continued

The AntiChrist

For many people in modern society the person spoken of in the Bible known as the antichrist is a mystery. In truth it is not that mysterious at all. There a many discriptions of the antichrist in the Bible and even a history of how he comes to power and what he will do. Many people, including the church reformers from which the protestant church came out of, have publicly declared who the antichrist is and they were correct. So how can we know who the antichrist is and what do the words “antichrist” actually mean in the original language, because that will certainly have a bearing on how to determine who the antichrist actually is.

A Time, and Times, and Half a Time

What is a Time, Times, and Half a Time? Well, it’s a direct quote from Revelation 12:14. It is also a direct (well almost a direct quote) from Daniel 7:25 and Daniel 12:7. We say it’s almost a direct quote because Daniel 7:25 King James Version translates to the word “dividing” instead of “half” and the word “and” is missing between time and times in Daniel 12:7 which are both trivial and it really means the same thing, but let’s get back to what it means. What is a time? A time is a year. For now the reader will just have to accept that as a fact. By the time we reach the end of this article we will have fully established that a time is a year. So if a time is a year, then what is a Time, and Times, and Half a Time. Well it’s Three and one half years. A Time is one year, Times are two years and half a time is a half a year. So 1 year + 2 years + 1/2 year = 3-1/2 years, but how do we know that it’s three and a half years? For instance couldn’t “Times” mean three or four or some other number of years as opposed to two years? Once again, the fact that … Continued

The Shaking

The shaking is something that both Paul the Apostle and Ellen White wrote about. It’s a very deep subject I’m sure, but one of the more pertinent aspects of the Shaking is that we want to be on the right side of “The Shaking.” You see there are those who will be shaken out and those which cannot be shaken. We don’t want to be shaken out, but we want to be among those which cannot be shaken but remain. Hebrews 12 :27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. To the subject of “The Shaking” Ellen White also wrote some very critical aspects. She is obviously talking about the 144,000, but in dictating this prophetic sequence of events there are golden nuggets of instruction. Let’s take a look at what she says so we can see what these golden nuggets are. I saw some, with strong faith and agonizing cries, pleading with God. Their countenances were pale, and marked with deep anxiety, expressive of their internal struggle. Firmness and great earnestness was expressed in their countenances; large drops of perspiration fell from their foreheads. Now and then their faces would light up with the marks of … Continued

In Bible Prophesy a Woman Represents the Church

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ” is a book of prophesy. Remember that in Bible Interpretation no prophesy of scripture is of any private interpretation, the Bible interprets itself {2nd Peter 1:20-21}. So in the Bible we find that a woman represents the church. Also in the Bible a harlot and a whore represents an apostate church: {Ezekiel 23:37} & {Isaiah 57:3-5}. Jeremiah 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman. Isaiah 51:16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people. Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 2nd Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. Revelation 19:7-8 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of … Continued

Revelation 1

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: What is significant in verse one of Revelation Chapter One is that John said that Jesus signified the message. In other words the message was given in signs and symbols. Anyone who has studied Revelations knows that there is many symbols in it. Secondly, He gave it to His servants. So if you are his servant, then you will receive it and pay very careful attention to the meaning of the words, the symbols and the Spirit in which it was given. Conversely, those who are not interested in understanding it are by definition not the servants of Jesus, for it is for the Master to decide what the servant is to know and not the servant. 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. What is significant about verse 2 is that it says “The Revelation” is the testimony of Jesus Christ. So in other words the testimony of Jesus Christ is “The Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ.” Note that in {Revelations 12:17} it says that the … Continued

The Latter Rain

So it may be now. Let Christians put away all dissension and five themselves to God for the saving of the lost. Let them ask in faith for the promised blessing, and it will come. The outpouring of the Spirit in the days of the apostles was “the former rain,” and glorious was the result. But the latter rain will be more abundant. What is the promise to those living in these last days? “Turn you to the stronghold, ye prosoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee.” “Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” Zechariah 9: 12; 10: 1. {8T 21.2}

Revelation Chapter 13

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, … Continued
