Why Should We Understand Prophesy?

So why should we understand prophesy? Eschatology is the study of end time events. Basically it’s the study of Biblical prophesy in our case. The two books of the Bible that are most concerned with end time events are Daniel and the Revelation of Jesus Christ ( the last book in the Bible ). The fact that Daniel and The Book of Revelation speak of end time events means that they are books of prophesy. Is it really all that important that we know and understand prophesy? Let’s look at what they Bible says to answer that question: The Prophesies are a Sure Thing 2nd Peter 2:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Here Peter telling us we have a more sure word of prophesy. More sure than what? The three verses previous to this one (16, 17 & 18) tell us. In the same chapter Peter refers the time when he, James and John witnessed the Majesty of Jesus on the mount of transfiguration. and they heard a voice from the Father saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” What Peter … Continued

Daniel Chapter 11

Daniel Chapter 11: 1 – 2 1 Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him. In the first verse of Daniel 11 the speaker is an angel sent by God. It can be demonstrated that this is the Angel Gabriel which will be demonstrated at a later time as not to distract from the present topic. 2 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. Verse 2 speaks of 3 kings Persian kings. The description given of these 3 kings is most accurately recorded in history.. They were Cambyses son of Cyrus, Smerdis (also known as Bardiya) an imposter and Darius Hystaspes. The fourth king after Darius Hystaspes was Xerxes. It should be pointed out that although there were several other kings after Darius the Mede. This Darius was also the Darius which was tricked into throwing Daniel into the lion’s den. Darius the Mede reigned as king of Babylon contemporaneously with and under the regency of Cyrus the Persian king, but Daniel 11 verse 2 speaks speciafically of 3 kings of … Continued

Revelation 12

Revelations 12 is a very brief overview of the history of God’s Church covering thousands of years. It starts way back near the beginning (of the Church), but after the flood and reflects Joseph’s dream where eleven stars bowed down to him. .{Genesis 37: 9-10} There were actually twelve stars because Joseph himself was one of those stars and the other eleven stars represented his brothers who happen to be the father’s of the twelve tribes of Israel including Joseph. Actually, Joseph’s name is not listed in the tribes of Israel in either Numbers 1 or Revelation 7, but is replaced by his two sons Manasseh and Benjamin. The number twelve represents the organization of God’s Church. First we had the twelve tribes of Israel and after Jesus Crusifiction we have the twelve Apostles. Is it any wonder that the 12th chapter of Revelations is depicting the Church? A Woman Represents the Church in the Bible Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: In Bible Prophesy a Woman Represents the Church. This topic will be discussed with the assumption that the woman represents the Chruch and Israel. If you are not familiar with the scriptures which … Continued

The Latter Rain

So it may be now. Let Christians put away all dissension and five themselves to God for the saving of the lost. Let them ask in faith for the promised blessing, and it will come. The outpouring of the Spirit in the days of the apostles was “the former rain,” and glorious was the result. But the latter rain will be more abundant. What is the promise to those living in these last days? “Turn you to the stronghold, ye prosoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee.” “Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” Zechariah 9: 12; 10: 1. {8T 21.2}

All the Messages from 1840 through 1844

What are “All the Messages from 1840 through 1844.” Well the answer would be that basically they are the “The Three Angel Messages” of Revelation 14. In general The Three Angel Messages and the Sanctuary Message are contained in the 1843 and 1850 charts. So you could almost say the The Three Angels Messages, the Sanctuary Message and the 1844 and 1850 charts are all one and the same thing. That would be kind of similar to the fact that Jesus, the Holy Spirit and God are one. This is not the introduction of a new doctrine, but It’s just to say they are similar in the fact that it’s three different aspects of basically one and the same thing. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are so much of one that they are in fact one, for as the scripture says, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:” {Deut. 6:4} Yet we know for a fact the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are three persons. God has not revealed all to humanity and the nature of God is one of the things that is still beyond our understanding. The point is that Jesus, God the Father and the Holy Spirit are three persons, yet they are so close and have such a … Continued

Revelation Chapter 13

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, … Continued

Daniel

There can be no doubt that the book of Daniel was written by Daniel himself. Many people say that Daniel was written one or two hundred years after the Lord was crucified, yet both Robert Dick Wilson and modern science prove that the only time in which the Book of Daniel could possibly be written in was the 6th century BC. Matthew 24:15-16 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: When speaking of the Abomination of Desolation, Jesus Himself signified that His disciples (whom you should be if you’re reading this article) should understand the prophesies of Daniel. Daniel is a book that teaches about both prophesy and health. Most of us understand it as a book of prophesy, but how can it be considered a book of health? As you probably know, in the Old Testament God gave the law to Israel. Part of that law was a health law. The Israelites were given a diet. God promised them that if they heeded his law diligently He would protect them from the diseases of Egypt. Faithfully did Daniel abide in those health laws. If thou wilt diligently hearken to … Continued

Daniel Chapter 1

1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it. What is the Time Frame of the Book of Daniel It has been well established by historians that Jehoiakim was appointed king by Necho II, King of Egypt, in 608 BC. Therefore this event occurred in 604 BC as years of the King of this time were often counted after the first year was completed. So in other words, he became King in 608, but his first year was not counted unil 607 BC and therefore the third year of Jehoiakim was 604 BC.
