The Latter Rain

So it may be now. Let Christians put away all dissension and five themselves to God for the saving of the lost. Let them ask in faith for the promised blessing, and it will come. The outpouring of the Spirit in the days of the apostles was “the former rain,” and glorious was the result. But the latter rain will be more abundant. What is the promise to those living in these last days? “Turn you to the stronghold, ye prosoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee.” “Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” Zechariah 9: 12; 10: 1. {8T 21.2}

All the Messages from 1840 through 1844

What are “All the Messages from 1840 through 1844.” Well the answer would be that basically they are the “The Three Angel Messages” of Revelation 14. In general The Three Angel Messages and the Sanctuary Message are contained in the 1843 and 1850 charts. So you could almost say the The Three Angels Messages, the Sanctuary Message and the 1844 and 1850 charts are all one and the same thing. That would be kind of similar to the fact that Jesus, the Holy Spirit and God are one. This is not the introduction of a new doctrine, but It’s just to say they are similar in the fact that it’s three different aspects of basically one and the same thing. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are so much of one that they are in fact one, for as the scripture says, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:” {Deut. 6:4} Yet we know for a fact the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are three persons. God has not revealed all to humanity and the nature of God is one of the things that is still beyond our understanding. The point is that Jesus, God the Father and the Holy Spirit are three persons, yet they are so close and have such a … Continued

Revelation Chapter 13

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, … Continued

Daniel Chapter 1

1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it. What is the Time Frame of the Book of Daniel It has been well established by historians that Jehoiakim was appointed king by Necho II, King of Egypt, in 608 BC. Therefore this event occurred in 604 BC as years of the King of this time were often counted after the first year was completed. So in other words, he became King in 608, but his first year was not counted unil 607 BC and therefore the third year of Jehoiakim was 604 BC. To see the historical documentation of this on wikipedia click → this link. 2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god. The Spirit of the Law

Yes the law has a spirit. That is not to say that the law is a living being such as the Holy Spirit, or that the law is conscious of itself. The law is a set of principals and precepts that reveal the character of God. Gal 3: 24 The spirit of the law is a characteristic of the law. The law was created in the spirit of holiness. In many cases the word spirit can be used in place of the word intent. Someone could say something like, “He helped his brother in the spirit of brotherly love.” Which means that he helped his brother with the intention of showing and/or demonstrating brotherly love or even with true love for a brother at heart. The law was given with the spirit of holiness. Holiness cannot have one jot or tittle of sin mixed in with it or it will no longer be holy. So in itself, the law has a characteristic of purity. It cannot be kept if it has the slightest stain of sin mixed in with it. Paul the apostle had something to say about the spirit of the law. 2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but … Continued

The Final Message

Other than the God given namesake represented directive to keep the Sabbath, there is nothing that distinguishes the 7th Day Adventist Church more than the fact that they have been given the final and most fearful message ever given to men. That message is the 3rd Angel’s message. Why did Ellen White say it was such a fearful message? ( I would be remiss not to mention the Health Message which, among other components of, plays a leading role in the final message ) It was because those who take the upon themselves the Mark of the Beast will fall into the hands of the living God. The Bible spells out this fearful message in Revelations 14:10-11:

Great Controversy 1888 Edition pg. 449 par. 2 The most fearful threatening ever addressed to mortal is contained in the third angel’s message. {GC88 449.2}

Revelation 14:10-11
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Hebrews 10: 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Notice that verse 10 says that the wrath of God will be poured out without mixture, or in other words without mercy mixed in. Currently we are living within the time period know as the dispensation of Grace. Our ever patient God’s wrath and judgements are administered with a mixture of mercy and grace. What a terrible day it will be when God’s wrath is no longer mixed with mercy and grace, but it poured out without mixture?!

An even more fearful thing to understand is that those who give the final message will be held to an even stricter judgement and standard of perfection than those who were not given the privilege of that light in preparation of that solemn message. Those who give the final message that fall short of the standard that Jesus laid before us will be in the gravest of danger. Continue Reading
