The trumpets of history sounded to alert people of the final judgments, to call them back into covenant relationship. They were designed to call people to repent but “they repented not of their sins.” The Book of Revelation reveals Christ working out the provisions of God’s Covenant in the Last Days. It also reveals Christianity’s Response to that Covenant by Ulrike The Sixth Trumpet and the Millerites If“In 1838 Josiah Litch, a preacher in the Millerite movement, made the interesting prediction that the Ottoman Empire would fall on August 11, 1840. His prediction was based upon his reading of Revelation nine, and the text, …”were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year”…. Following established guidelines of applying a day for a year, he realized this was 360 +30 + 1 = 391 years.
