Thoughts on Daniel and the Revelation

The canvassing work is one of the Lord’s appointed agencies for extending the knowledge of the truth for this time. Canvassers have an important work to do. The Lord can and will work through them if they will earnestly prepare themselves to do what they can. The effort made to circulate Christ’s Object Lessons is demonstrating what can be done in the canvassing field. To those who are working with this book, I would say, After the immediate necessity is met, do not lose your zeal, feeling that there is no further need for special effort. Accountability

If We are Led Astray for Lack of Searching the Scriptures We will be Held Accountable It is not enough to merely read, but the Word of God must enter into our hearts and our understanding, in order that we may be established in the blessed truth. If we should neglect to search the Scriptures for ourselves, that we may know what is truth, then if we are led astray, we are accountable for it. We must search the Scriptures carefully, so that we will know every condition that the Lord has given us; and if we have minds of limited capacity, by diligently searching the Word of God we may become mighty in the Scriptures, and may explain them to others. —The Review and Herald, April 3, 1888. {Ev 366.1} God Holds Us Accountable for Failing to do All the Good We Could have Done Many are deceived as to their true condition before God.
